Gastro Non Grata : Legume Liberation
July 22 @ Turf Club in St Paul Doors 6 pm Music 7pm $10 adv/$13 door
Mark your numerous digital communication devices. On July 22 at the Turf Club in our capital city of St Paul, Gastro Non Grata will be celebrating Freedom from Flesh. Our very first Vegetarian show featuring spitting distance neighbors On’s Thai Kitchen where minnesota spice is clearly and thankfully disregarded.
We’re also happy to welcome Harriet Brewing into the fold. Our East Lake neighbors will be on hand to provide samples of their locally crafted microbrews and might even have a few high fives for you if you ask nice enough.
The evenings musical energy will be provided handily by The Pinsch, our good pastry pal Sheela’s new project, followed by the hard hitting sounds of Cadette and the night will be closed out with the rock kicks and riffs of Pink Mink on headlining duties.
DJ Shannon Blowtorch will be on the 1s and 2s between bands playing music that is guaranteed to make your booty move all over the room.
Pretty awesome right? Well, if that’s not enough with your paid admission you will also get to partake in the Wet Dragons salsa/guac off downstairs in the clown lounge. If you think your salsa or guacamole has what it takes to take the prize, you can enter here. Prizes will include St Paul Bagelry gift certificates, $50 bar tabs at the Turf Club, Growlers of Harriet Brewings finest and more, more, more probably non-meat related prizes.
here's the link for the salsa/guac off. First come, first served, novice and pros are welcome.http://www.facebook.com/ events/327575220664369/
In honor of the Herbivore, we’re gonna give our sponsor Clancey’s Meat & Fish a little breather from the Dead Meat Door Prize and create a show specific door prize in lieu of delicious animal parts. Man, that’s a lot of stuff happening for a measly $10 in advance.
Gastro Non Grata is a labor of love brought to you by Craig Drehmel and Jeff Mitchell
